We have some tentative plans for 2008. We hope to go to St. Paul Island, Hydaburg, Juneau and Nenana (all in Alaska). Please pray that these events will happen if they are the Lord's will. Thanks

The summer of 2007 was a quiet time for Gookie and Nindy. Nindy broke and crushed her tibia bone this summer in Montana. She flew home and had surgery on her leg and was unable to walk for several months. Thankfully as she was up and mobile on crutches Labor Day we were able to go to several locations in Anchorage and gave out cotton candy and hot dogs. The kids were quite surprised that a clown could wear a full leg brace and it seemed to actually make her more approachable to very little kids.

We ended 2006 by taking cotton candy to the Anchorage Rescue Mission.
This was our schedule for 2006:
March - Performance and walk around in Ft. Lauderdale.
April - Trip to attend Master's Graduation for Amanda in Canada. Bought an old generator at a garage sale.
Easter - Went to Brother Francis Rescue Mission and the Anchorage Rescue Mission and gave out cotton candy. It was a true blessing.
26th - Did a performance at our church for kids. Handed out cotton candy afterwards.
June - Performance in the evening at foster children's camp at Camp Maranatha. The performance was a hit. The kids were wide eyed and behaved great. Afterwards we gave out balloon hats.
July - We took the cotton candy machine out to a parking lot and to where Lake Otis crosses over Campbell Creek. This is such a good way to bless people. We've taken water with us and that has been a blessing for the hot families.
July 4th - We entered part of the parade giving out candy. Gookie drove the scooter, Nindy sat on the wagon he was pulling. It was great! Then we joined up with First Baptist and helped their celebrations by the Park Strip and handed out free cotton candy for almost three hours. It worked out beautifully as they are just off of the park strip but still started with a couple a hundred adults and kids and as people left the parade, many came through to get the free food and participate in the free games they had.
Our late summer and fall were interrupted by both Rob's father and Cindy's stepfather going home to heaven.

We have our own cotton candy machine!
Cecilia's event at the Park was great and helpful in planning more; the sermonette in Valdez went well and we handed out a lot of cotton candy; the event at Kelly's included cotton candy queen Sparkles; and the event on the 7th had a turnout on Dori and Troy's lawn of over 50!
We handed out cotton candy at the University Mall, telling everyone that we were handing it out for free because Jesus' salvation was also free.
Rob gave his testimony at the Mustard Seed in Calgary, Canada. It felt very different giving out free cotton candy to the homeless not being dressed in our clown attire. The cotton candy was very well received, as Stampede was just ending and these people felt like they were able to have a "taste" of the festivities.
Annette's event on the 25th was another God blessed event. Nindy showed off her new look (hopefully we will have pictures soon); Sparkles helped with the cotton candy; Wayne helped with the hot dogs; Carolyn interacted with the kids after the performance. We had over 30 kids there and some adults that listened intently.
Jean's event on the 29th was small but still a success. Gookie used it as an opportunity to give cotton candy to three construction workers and show them Jesus' love. It had rained during the night and that may have made a difference and then it sprinkled on our way home.
Sister Lazenby's event was a success. A mother came from having seen the flyer and brought her kids. We did the show twice for two different groups of people. Vikki took care of the hot dogs and both she and Gookie talked to Richard who was walking past and got interested in what was happening. Please pray for the seeds sowed and especially for Richard and the parents that brought their
kids.
National Night Out was a success and a great training event. We walked around in the crowd for a while and we had a table set up where we did some of our gospel magic. There was a shot of Gookie and Nindy on TV during the news; and we have at least one opportunity in the future that came out of that event.
We enjoyed the opportunity to hand out cotton candy at a Singles' event. There were five churches represented there and it may have created a future opportunity. The kids that watched the show really got into it. It was definitely one of those times that you have to be able to recover when props fail and volunteers that are helping cause tricks to go astray. God was good, we recovered!
Barbara's event was a blessing. We met some of her friends, her kids and some of their friends and her mother. Whenever christians get together it is amazing to see how much we have in common.
We once again were fortunate to borrow Troy and Dori's generator (two of the most generous people in the kingdom with their "stuff"). We were able to go down to the parkstrip and just hand out cotton candy and tell kids and adults that we were doing it because Jesus loved them and his salvation was free. We had our signs up that said Clowns 4 Jesus, and Cotton Candy is Sweet but Jesus' Forgiveness is Sweeter (from Sparkles (Carol)), and we also had water available for those that had gotten tired on the playground. We had several divine appointments there. We left feeling grateful that God had used us to bless others.
Prayer Requests
Please continue to pray for these events. We would like good attendance; good weather; for things to go smoothly; that no one gets hurt either promoting, helping, or attending the performance; and hearts to be turned towards Jesus.
